The CRC supports students in recovery by building relationships with students and professionals throughout the university, the local community and the state that creates a social network of camaraderie, belonging, experience and accountability. Within this network, members of the CRC may obtain assistance in many forms, including academic, personal, social, spiritual, and psychological; support that continues throughout their time at Mississippi State.
The venue for this support can occur in many different ways including formal programming, events, educational opportunities, and informal social gatherings.The Collegiate Recovery Community at Mississippi State University’s primary funding comes from individual donations. Funds received for the CRC are passed on to members primarily in the forms of scholarships. Additionally, finances include an unrestricted base for programming, school supplies, group meals, and education for students and CRC professionals. A facilities fund goes toward plans to develop, build and/or renovate and furnish space on the Mississippi State University campus.
